Mindy and I looked at the blog yesterday and realized that it's been a while. I thought I would start were we left.
Back in May, I made a business trip to Japan. It was my first time visiting the country. Tokyo is an incredible city and the people were great to interact with. We have an office in Japan so I basically had built in tour guides. I didn't bring my camera but another employee is sending me pics so I hope to update this post shortly. 
As a funny side not, I went to a Buddhist Temple. This picture doesn't do it justice.
I paid a 100 yen (1 dollar) and got my fortune. You shake a silver cylinder with chopsticks inside. There's a small hole at the end of the cylinder where you extract one chopstick. On the stick is a number that you match to an appropriate drawer with your fortune in it.
Here's my fortune with a funny translation (exactly as it appears on the paper).
No. 3 BAD FORTUNE LACK
Although you do your best and sincerity to others, it's useless just like burning incense to the sky.
Even if it may be a small loyalty, a good deed prevents causing damage. You will spend a long hard time working on many useless things.

*A sick person will recover but take a little while. (for those of you knowing the timing of this trip, this one struck a little close to home)
*Making a trip will not be good.
*Building a new house and removal are both half fortunate.

Despite the Bad Fortune Lack, I will definitely be heading back to Japan if the opportunity presents itself.
