I was 12 the last time...

...I had stitches. 12 stitches are laced into my right hand after opening up the furnace. To make a long story short, it's like a paper cut but with sheet metal. If the picture didn't gross you out, I'm sure the description did. For those in the military, the stitch is called a combat closer. My doctor was in the air force so he was pretty familiar with these types of "fixes". Nine days after the accident, I'll be stitch free.

oh yikes. what a pain, are you supposed to keep them dry all the time? or is that just for casts... anyway, hope you heal quickly and 9 days goes by fast!

Seriously? This is gross. I can't believe this is the first picture I saw for 3 days when I checked your blog. The paper cut analagy just makes it harder to read. I hope it heals well Mind-ay.
