I love Christmas time. The sights, the smells, the decorations, the lights, the Christmas pjs, the visits from Santa, the snow, the nativities, Christmas carols...and the list continues. Here is a peek at our Christmas morning. It really has been fun having our own Christmas mornings with just our family and starting new family traditions. Then it's so fun to get together with extended family and eat and play the whole rest of the day.
Wow, I have some cute kids.:) Here are the annual Christmas outfits. Sorry for the hands in your face Liam.:)
My sister Cassi is becoming quite the photographer. We had her update our family pictures, and she did an awesome job. Thanks, Cass!
So, I'll admit that I am a fan of the Twilight series. Having said that, I think it's hilarious to go to the first showings of the movies with all the screaming and ooohhing and aaaaahhhing over the characters. It really is a riot.:) So here I am with my sisters and nieces at the New Moon showing. We had a blast and even made t-shirts for the contest before.
My poor girls have never been blessed with a lot of hair, so when I got this cool pony tail extension to go with my costume, we had a blast trying it on. Here are a few shots of what my girls would look like with hair. It's amazing how real it looks on Ashlyn.:)
This is the first year I've dressed-up for Halloween since Josh and I have been married and I must say, it was a lot of fun.:) Here's the rundown on costumes this year: Josh - Spock, Mindy - Spock's girlfriend from the new movie (I can't think of her name), Ashlyn - cheerleader, Emma - witch, Ethan - skeleton pirate, and Liam - Super Baby. One of my favorite Halloween memories this year was Ethan growling "trick or treat" at every person on the trunk or treat route. (You can see the face he made in the top right.) He was a riot!
My Halloween Baby turned four this year! And for her celebration she wanted bowling with a Bolt cake. What could be better? Maybe if you added presents like a walking, roaring dinosaur and a DARLING Halloween quilt from Grandma. Emma we love you, and here are some of the reasons why:
You have the most vivid imagination.
I love how you quote movies and books 24/7.
You are without guile - you let people know exactly what you are thinking.
I love your soft, serious whisper when you're telling a dramatic story.
I love your rythm.
I love how you wrestle with your little brother.
I love your cute dimple and your "courtesy" laugh.
You love your brothers and sister more than anything.
You are an amazing little artist. I love how you always put eyelashes on the girl stick figures you draw.
You are one smart cookie. You amaze me with your ability to learn.
I could go on and on, but Emma, Happy Birthday and we love you!
We went to Pumpkin Land a while back and my sister, Cassi, took the cutest pictures. I'm loving the "dance picture pose" of Ethan and Cooper, and do you notice anything different about the bottom right picture? It just cracks me up!
Background: At Ashlyn's soccer game. Ethan just got his cast off and was throwing rocks at the car. Emma was in time-out in the car. Liam is being lugged around while I deal with the other kids, and taking it like a champ. Josh is on his way to the game (I'm talking to him on the phone). Just a glimpse into the life of the Dahmers (raw and uncut).:)
Liam is now three months old and getting cuter by the day. My favorite thing is his adorable, endearing smile. No matter how my day is going, he can turn it around in a second or just make it that much better with his great smile. He talks a ton and is rolling over...can you believe it? So, why do I love being a mom...doesn't this picture say it all?:)
Some people ask if it's hard having my kids so close in age. But I just tell them, I wouldn't want it any other way.
